Daddy's intro and Top 5...

So, I'm entering the 21st century and blog world...welcome. My goal is to provide the other 1/2 (probably the lesser 1/2) insight from Maggie's world and share how much our little Mags means to us from daddy's eyes. My goal is to post a couple times each week. Very briefly, who is Maggie's daddy? Maggie's daddy is thankful to God every single day for Mama Jennifer and for Baby Mags. He is also thankful for the incredible family he has been blessed with as well as married into. I thank God daily for the ability that Maggie's mommy and daddy share to fulfill their life's purpose daily, daddy in full-time ministry at a church that touches thousands of lives weekly and mommy as the most gifted mommy I have ever had the chance to witness. I am thankful for the Little Yellow Bungalow that surrounds the Haren's. Daddy loves any and all sports, especially baseball. From the world's standards, we may not have much, but from my perspective, we couldn't be more blessed. Life tries its hardest to derail you off the tracks, but I have always done my best to take the different course as a new challenge and a new opportunity. God is far better to us than we deserve and for that, I am eternally grateful. So, that's daddy, in a nutshell. You won't hear a whole lot more about him, just from him, since he is just a guest on the wonderful Maggie's blog. I hope you enjoy his perspective.
So, I thought a great kickoff would be to list my 5 FAVORITE "MAGGIE MOMENTS" thus far:
5) Our walks. I absolutely love going for walks with the Mags and her Mama.
4) Morning. I can't get enough of walking in each morning after hearing her "coo" out "come get me" and then come in and see her ginormous grin. There's no way to have a bad day after that type of greeting, especially, when she plays "find the baby" and hides in the corner of her crib beneath her 12 blankets and 16 stuffed animals in her crib.
3) Everyday when I come home. I love coming home on my lunch breaks or after work or whenever. I get excited to see the Mags. She is either playing with Mama, in her exerciser or doing something and when she sees me, she lights up with a huge grin and reaches out for daddy to "get me"...it makes me melt.
2) Watching her and mama nap. Sometimes (not often) the Mama and Baby are worn out from a long day and I'll sneak in on nap time. I love it, so cute, my 2 girls cuddled together on the couch...
1) The Miracle of witnessing her birth. By far, the most incredible thing my eyes have ever witnessed. Perfect. Love at 1st sight! her timing was perfect, despite what we thought at 1st :), and every birth is a miracle to me...but there is something so special about "the Maggie"...

I'm glad to hear from you, Daddy Tom!... The Mag's life wouldn't be even close to properly documented without your perspective! :)
